Parish Hall Calendar

St. Mary’s Parish Fall Fest 2024 was a wonderful success, blessed by God with perfect weather and a jubilant crowd. Thanks to the many attendees, volunteers, contributors and sponsors, this year’s event had net proceeds over $55,000!

Each year the committee shares the short-term and long-term goals of Fall Fest and how we are trying to reach those goals:

  • Fall Fest strives to support our Parish, School and Community with funding for projects and needs that are above and beyond budgeted expenses.
  • Funds raised by last year’s Fall Fest event were distributed to: o St. Mary’s Parish – Church door locks & emergency lighting,

           and Haiti program

o St. Joseph School – ACCF Tuition & Education fund,

classroom active panels & books/supplies, JA

programming, Middle School retreat, and Advent project

o Our Community – Connor Brite’s Wildflower, Boys & Girls

Club of Adams County, Adams County Council on Aging,

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, Hope Clinic,

Unfailing Love Clinic, University of St. Francis Dominican

Republic Mission, Decatur Sculpture Tour, Callithumpian

            Parade, and downtown Decatur planters

  • With this year’s proceeds, we will be able to support many more needs.
  • A long-term goal of Fall Fest is to build an endowment to subsidize St. Joseph students’ tuition costs. The St. Joseph School Tuition & Education fund at the Adams County Community Foundation has now grown to over $245,000, with annual distributions made available to the school.

In February 2025, the Fall Fest Committee will meet to assess and make recommendations for distribution of this year’s proceeds.

  • If you know of an unbudgeted need that exists or are part of a school, church or community group with an extraordinary need, please consider submitting a fund request to the Fall Fest Committee.
  • Applications may be picked up in the rectory, parish hall or in the back of church.
  • Return completed forms to the Rectory. Applications will be accepted until Monday, February 3, 2025.
  • The Fall Fest Committee then makes distribution recommendations to Fr. Dave, based upon the request forms received.

If you would like to help next year’s event be a success, you are welcome to join our committee.

Thank you for your support of Fall Fest, St. Mary’s Parish, St. Joseph School and our Community!
